Marketing Executive - British Coatings Federation - Surrey

Job Title: Marketing Executive (full time)
Reports to: Head of Marketing
Start date:  ASAP

General purpose
The Marketing Executive is responsible for supporting the BCF’s marketing activities, with specific responsibilities to draft copy for articles, press release, blogs posts etc and design marketing collateral for print and digital media. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills and creative flair, with a good understanding of and interest in social media marketing. Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite package is preferable, but we will provide training for the right person.

Specific accountabilities
• Copy writing – draft articles, press releases, blog posts, website content etc.
• Plan and schedule social media content across multiple platforms – twitter, linkedin, facebook
• Design leaflets, brochures, infographics etc for print and digital media
• Assist marketing team in branding marketing collateral for events and ad hoc campaigns
• Email marketing – draft content, design newsletters, monitor performance
• Coordinate website updates, design/format web pages across a variety of content management systems
• Organise editorial calendar, support team in managing deadlines
• Prepare power point presentations
• Assist with delivery of events

Skills and competencies
• Great communicator, with excellent writing skills
• Highly creative with strong attention to detail and an eye for design
• Good understanding of social media (facebook, twitter, linkedin)
• Organised and efficient
• Tech savy and quick learner
• Good team player
• Self starter
• Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and PhotoShop (desirable – we will provide training for the right person)
• Use of MailChimp or other email marketing platforms is desirable


Education & Experience

• Degree in Marketing / Business Studies desirable
